Car Seat is Important

I know there are parents who refuse to use car seat for their children. They can have thousands of reasons. But please take a look at the video clips. Don't tell me the kid don't like. Parents must insist.

My son don't have any option. Since day one, from the day he left the hospital back home, he has already in his infant seat.

His seat is rear facing. People asked me, won't he cry? Of course he cried, especially after 6 months. He wanted to look for people. But I still insisted as I know he will be safe in his chair. To ease my worry, I bought a baby rear view mirror which can be attached to my rear view mirror so that I can monitor his movements.

I wish I can have this but I can't get it in Malaysia.

When he was 1 year old, we got him the toddler seat.

This is a front facing seat as his leg length and weight can't take the rear facing infant seat anymore. He still cried. This time the challenge is he wanted to move around. One year old is the exploring stage. Everything seems interesting to him. He wanted to touch everything in front of him. Restrict his movement is unbearable for him. Thus he cried as loud as he can. This is the most challenging period for parents. You have to calm him down, start to explain to him (even though he might not understand), while concentrate your driving.

He is now 2.5 years old. He knows he must be in his seat and put on the seatbelt. We won't move the car if he refuse to do so. There's no option for him. We can even have him travel for long distance (more than 3 hours drive) and he is still singing happily in his seat!

I hope all the parents can understand the importance of baby car seat. You can save their life!
